Should I be concerned if I have brown spotting after 6 months of regular use of the Vines birth control pill?
15.00 zł

Hello, I have been taking Vines contraceptive pills for 6 months now. I had withdrawal bleeding 2 weeks ago. For 3 days I have had spotting with a rather brown color. It's the first time I've had such a situation, I will add that I take pills regularly between 12-13 and I have never missed a pill. Should I be worried? The adoption period is rather behind me, because it's been 6 months of using these pills.

To @Jagoda:

Yes, a slight stinging in the ovarian area, especially in the first months of using hormonal contraception, is often not related to ovulation, but rather to the body's adaptation to new hormone levels. However, it is worth remembering that the hormones in contraception are designed to stop ovulation, so the likelihood that this pain is related to ovulation itself is very small.

Slight pain, stinging or discomfort may result from the body's reaction to new hormone concentrations, as during this period the body adjusts to the cycle regulated by the tablets. Sometimes there may also be so-called ovulation pains, which do not result from actual ovulation, but rather from tension or irritation in the ovarian area.

Thank you very much for your answer, you calmed me down a bit. However, I have one more question. Doesn't ovarian pain (slight stinging from time to time) on these days also mean that ovulation is approaching, but is it caused by the body's adaptation to hormones?

Thank you in advance for your reply.

Changes in the consistency of mucus and tenderness and enlargement of the breasts are common symptoms associated with the hormonal effects of birth control pills, including Vines. Thinner, watery mucus can appear at different stages of the pill cycle and is usually not a sign of ovulation when the pills are taken regularly, which ensures contraceptive effectiveness.

If you take the pills at the same time every day, the risk of ovulation remains very low. Symptoms such as breast enlargement and tenderness are usually temporary and may decrease over time.

Good morning

I'm currently in the process of taking 2 packs of Vines tablets [9th active tablet] in the previous cycle as well as the current one I noticed a change in the consistency of the mucus, about halfway through the package. After bleeding, it was white and thick, and now it is thin, watery and only slightly white. Does this mean that the pills do not work and ovulation may occur in days? I take the tablets every day at 8 p.m. In addition, since I have been taking the pills, my breasts have become very larger. The breasts are swollen and tender. I am asking for help in this situation, because I do not know if I am sure I am well protected.

Brown spotting, which occurs after 6 months of regular use of birth control pills, may be the result of the hormones contained in the preparation. Bleeding like this can be normal, especially if it's not accompanied by other symptoms such as pain or discomfort. However, it is worth remembering that irregular spotting can also occur due to stress, changes in body weight or smoking.

If the spotting persists for more than a few days or becomes more intense, it is recommended to consult a doctor. The specialist can assess the situation and possibly suggest a change in the contraceptive method if necessary. Regular intake of the pills at the same time is crucial for their effectiveness and hormonal stabilization of the body.
