Can you use cream Efudix for an open wound?

I have been applying Efudix to various areas for 7 days. One spot is now open, should I continue to apply cream there anyway? Actually, I'm supposed to put on cream for 14 days. Or should I skip this passage now?

Efudix cream should not be applied to open wounds or skin that is interrupted. This may cause some of the medicine to be absorbed into the blood and may lead to serious side effects of the medicine.

In some cases (e.g. in the treatment of senile and actinic keratosis), the occurrence of erosion is an expression of the effectiveness of the drug.

Skin ulcers, skin eruptions, may be among the side effects of Efudix. I encourage you to report adverse drug reactions. Reporting side effects allows you to increase control over medicines available on the market. We wrote more about how and why to report side effects in the article:
