If your blood pressure does not drop after taking Ramipril, you may want to consider taking Captopril, but you should keep an adequate time interval between these medicines.

Lowering blood pressure after taking Ramipril usually occurs within 1-2 hours, and the maximum effect is observed after 3-6 hours. Therefore, it is recommended to take Captopril only after this time if the pressure continues to be high.

Captopril, an angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor, works similarly to Ramipril, so their concomitant use can lead to excessive blood pressure reduction. Before deciding to take Captopril, it is best to consult with your doctor to discuss the risks and determine the appropriate dosage.

If you have any further doubts, it is worth consulting your attending physician. If you are unable to consult your doctor, you can use the teleconsultation here:
