I noticed that sometimes I see a Trittico XR 300mg tablet in my stool. It is devoid of its color, but still in its entirety.
The rest of the stool is fine, everything is digested, just this pill from time to time.
The psychiatrist said that it was rather nothing dangerous, because the active ingredients were probably still absorbed. But it still worries me.
Is it bad that they are sometimes visible in the stool?

Seeing an undigested Trittico XR 300mg tablet in the faeces is normal and does not indicate a lack of absorption of the active substance trazodone. Extended-release tablets are specifically designed to maintain their structure during passage through the digestive tract. Most of the trazodone is absorbed before the tablet reaches the final part of the intestine. If there are no alarming symptoms, there is no need for medical intervention.
