Yes. Side effects may appear even after several years of using the preparation. Of course, they are more likely at the beginning of treatment with the drug, but often, after a few years of using lamotrigine, such side effects appear, including: skin reactions, dizziness, headache, mental disorders such as anxiety or depression, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia or many others. If you have experienced any adverse effects - I recommend contacting your doctor, you may need to change your therapy.
