Enterosgel is a preparation that adsorbs toxins in the gastrointestinal tract. This preparation can also bind drugs, which can potentially lead to a reduction in their absorption. Therefore, if Enterosgel were taken in close proximity with the contraceptive pill, there would be a risk that some of the hormones would be adsorbed and the effectiveness of the pills would be reduced. To avoid the potential effect of Enterosgel on the effectiveness of the contraceptive pill, it is recommended that you have at least 2 hours between taking Enterosgel and hormonal contraception.
