Can I use Flucofast daily with Metronidazole to prevent vaginal yeast infection?
12.00 zł

I have been diagnosed IMO and the doctor prescribed me the antibiotic Metronidazole. I'm afraid of side effects. I am prone to vaginal mycosis after antibiotics and the leaflet says that this antibiotic causes mycosis. Can I use Flucofast daily with Metronidazole to prevent vaginal yeast infection?

Do not take Flucofast as a preventive measure, as it can also cause numerous side effects (including bacterial flora disorders) and interact with the medicine prescribed by your doctor. A better solution will be to use vaginal probiotics, which normalize the flora within intimate areas and reduce the risk of infection.

On our website, you can check the availability of preparations and make reservations at the pharmacy, e.g.:

Gynaecological probiotics can be used for a long time, especially if there is a tendency to recurrent genital tract infections. In such situations, it is also advisable to use cotton underwear, which can be washed at a higher temperature (which reduces the growth of microorganisms).
