Hello, I have a question, if every time I change the tampon, the disc (NuvaRing) falls out of the toilet, but I rinse it thoroughly in cold water and put it on right away, does it lose its properties? Does how many times it falls matter? He has been using the discs only since 8.08, which is a total of two days and he has already fallen out several times. Unfortunately, I can't afford sanitary pads alone because the first days are very heavy.

NuvaRing, or vaginal contraceptive ring, is only effective when used according to the instructions. If NuvaRing falls into the toilet, there is a high risk that it will lose its effectiveness. Contact with water, cleaning products, as well as possible physical damage can affect its performance. Therefore, in this case, it should not be used again and preferably replaced with a new ring. If the situation repeats several times and it falls in each time - all the more reason to use a new ring.
It is also worth contacting your doctor to make sure what best to do in your situation and whether additional contraceptives are needed. It may be necessary to change the method of contraception to a different one, since this type of protection creates "technical" problems.
