Is it normal to have a menstrual period from July 20 to 31 after using NuvaRing for the first time?
Hi I entered Nuvaring for the first time after years of taking it, interrupted 10 years ago.
First day of cycle entered 20/07/24
To date 31/07/24 is menstruation still normal? Sometimes abundant sometimes less? All normal!?
Should I take my ring off on August 10th? Does it still come back to my period? Or can it be late?

Using NuvaRing after a long break can lead to various body reactions, including irregular bleeding. In your case, menstruation, which began on July 20, 2024 and continues to this day, July 31, 2024, may be a normal reaction to the reintroduction of hormones. Women using NuvaRing often experience mid-cycle bleeding and changes in bleeding intensity.
As for the question of ring removal, as recommended, NuvaRing should be worn for three weeks and then removed for a week, which usually leads to withdrawal bleeding. If your first day of the cycle was July 20, the ring should be removed on August 10.
