Yes. Bactrim is an antibiotic that works against a wide spectrum of bacteria. It is used to treat various bacterial infections, such as urinary tract infections, respiratory infections, gastrointestinal infections, and some types of pneumonia. Nystatin is an antifungal drug used to treat infections caused by fungi, especially Candida yeasts. It can be used orally, topically or in suspension form.
There is no direct contraindication to the simultaneous use of Bactrim and Nystatin, as they act on different pathogens (bacteria and fungi) and in different ways. In practice, doctors often prescribe both of these drugs at the same time in case the patient has both a bacterial and fungal infection. However, it would be worth keeping at least 1-2 hours between medications.
