Can you give Zolaxa Rapid to a 15-year-old?

Hello, can Zolaxa rapid be prescribed to a 15-year-old? On the discharge from the hospital, I just found such a drug and he is supposed to take it in a dose of as much as 20 mg. What am I terrified of.

According to the manufacturer:
"The use of olanzapine in children and adolescents below 18 years of age is not recommended due to a lack of data on safety and efficacy. Short-term studies in adolescents reported significantly greater weight gain and greater changes in lipid and prolactin levels than in studies in adults."

However, please bear in mind that the doctor selects the therapy in hospital conditions and observes the patient around the clock. If your child has received sufficient improvement on olanzapine, follow the advice of your specialist. You should observe the child and stay in constant contact with a psychiatrist. However, you should not modify the dosage of the drug on your own.
