No. Eliquis (apixaban) is an oral anticoagulant used to prevent blood clots and treat thrombosis. In general, Eliquis does not affect the effectiveness of hormonal contraceptives such as pills, patches, rings or implants. However, it would be good to keep a time interval of at least 2-3 hours between Eliquis and contraceptive pills.
