Good morning.
Today I bought a prescription for Atywa Daily. However, the packaging is different from the standard one. Is it the same drug? A photo of the drug purchased today at the pharmacy is attached.

Yes, despite spotting, contraception is maintained, provided that they were taken regularly and at the same time every day.

Spotting and irregular bleeding may occur at the beginning of a new cycle of taking birth control pills, especially after a long break. This is due to hormonal changes in the body and does not indicate that contraception is ineffective.

Thank you very much for your quick reply.
I started a new package after a month-long break from contraception. I took the first pill on the first day of my period. The gynaecologist said that protection is from the first pill, but to be sure, the first 7 days should be protected. I'm already taking my 10th active pill and I still have spotting, especially after intercourse. From the 8th pill my partner ends up in me. Is contraception preserved despite spotting?

To @Karo:

No, medicines such as Tribux Forte, Contix and Vivomixx do not affect the effectiveness of Atywia Daily contraception.

Nevertheless, taking all medications and dietary supplements should always be reported to the doctor, especially when he or she decides to implement further medications. Such a procedure will allow for the selection of safe and effective pharmacotherapy.

Hello, do tribux forte, contix and vivomixx affect the Daily contraception?

To @Karo:

No, in parallel imported drugs (here: Cecilliana Diario) there are no differences in composition compared to those introduced to the market by the manufacturer (in this case: Atywia Daily). The active tablets have the same composition, and the differences in placebo tablets do not affect the effect of the drug. Placebo pills in contraception provide discipline to maintain a daily pill regimen, helping to maintain continuity and habit.

These are exactly the same medicinal products, manufactured by the same manufacturer, as the drugs available on the domestic market. The only difference is that they were imported from another country of the European Economic Area, where they were cheaper.

Thank you for your reply.
Here, as it were, there is a difference in the substances. Is it significant for the effectiveness of the drug or are they substitute substances? Attached is a photo of the Polish and imported description from the leaflet

Atywia Daily is a medicine containing ethinylestradiol and dienogest, which means that it is equivalent to Cecilliana Diario.

The packaging in the photo shows a parallel imported product. Products imported under parallel import are products from other European Union countries. They are identical to those sold in well-known packaging by manufacturers in Poland. The only difference is the packaging, which in no way affects the effectiveness and quality of the drug.

If you have any doubts, it is worth consulting the pharmacist dispensing the medicine to confirm that the medicine you have purchased is consistent with the one prescribed on the prescription.

You can find more information about parallel imports here:
