Can I use Difortan ointment if I am being treated for high blood pressure and using Nebilet?
Hello.
Recently, after exercise, my knee started to hurt a lot in the standside part. I can't die feeling such an obstacle at the back of my knee.
I was in a pharmacy and the pharmacist recommended difortan. I just read that it can raise blood pressure. And I'm being treated for this reason - I take nebilet 5mg.
Can I use this ointment?

Difortan is an analgesic and anti-inflammatory ointment that contains non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It is applied topically to the skin to relieve pain and reduce inflammation.
NSAIDs, such as those in Difortan, can affect blood pressure in some cases, especially when used orally. This effect is less pronounced when applied topically (on the skin).
Since you are taking Nebilet for hypertension, it is important to be cautious when using any NSAID, even topically. Nebivolol is a beta-blocker that helps control blood pressure, but interactions with NSAIDs have the potential to impair its effectiveness.
