What should I do if I am administering Ospamox for streptococcal tonsillitis and I have enough medicine until May 17, and my doctor said that I should give the last dose on May 16 in the morning?
Hello. Child 24 kg, streptococcal tonsillitis. Treatment of osspamox 250, 3 times 8 ml. Start of treatment on May 7 at 17 hours, the next doses with an interval of +-8 hours. The doctor said that the last dose should be taken on May 16 in the morning. But according to my calculations, we should have taken the drug before the morning of May 17. What is the right thing to do?

Ospamox (amoxicillin) is a penicillin antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections, including streptococcal tonsoiditis. In the case of a child weighing 24 kg, the dosage of Ospamox 250 mg 3 times a day for 8 ml is correct.
If, according to your calculations, the last dose should be taken before the morning of May 17, I encourage you to consult your pediatrician again to confirm that the last dose was administered.
