Is abdominal pain and spotting normal after two weeks of taking Rigevidon?

After two weeks of taking Rigevidon tablets, I started to have lower abdominal pain and brown spotting. Is this normal when using this medication?

Abdominal pain is a very common side effect of oral hormonal contraception. Spotting and mid-cycle bleeding occur quite often, especially in the first months of using Rigevidon (and other contraceptive pills). Usually, the symptoms disappear spontaneously within 3-4 months from the start of the treatment. If the problem persists or intensifies, a consultation with a gynaecologist is recommended.
