Ryeqo can be obtained with a prescription. After taking a medical history and checking your blood pressure, your doctor will be able to make a decision about treatment with Ryeqo.
A week before the appointment, blood pressure measurements can be taken. Take 2 measurements (before taking medication and eating) at intervals of a few minutes, in the morning and in the evening, at fixed times.
If normal blood pressure values are achieved through the use of antihypertensive drugs, it is possible to take Ryeqo. It is important that the medications used do not interact. According to the leaflet, drugs for the treatment of high blood pressure, e.g. carvedilol, diltiazem, verapamil, are contraindicated.
It is also important to remember that hypertension is a risk factor for arterial thromboembolism (ATE). The risk is assessed by a doctor based on an interview.
A slight increase in blood pressure may occur during Ryeqo therapy. Clinically significant increases in blood pressure are rare. When the increase is maintained and clinically significant, the benefit of continued treatment should be evaluated or a new antihypertensive therapy should be modified or established.
