I've been using the Evra patch since the first month - do I need to use additional barrier contraception?

Good afternoon!
I've been using Evra patches for the first month. Can you please tell me when I need to use additional barrier contraception? Now it will be the fourth week, in which you need to remove the patch and glue a new one only after 7 days. Do I need to protect myself additionally during this seven-day break and for a few days after applying the first patch of the new package?

Thank you in advance for your reply!)

If the patches have been applied correctly, according to the manufacturer's recommendations (i.e. from the first day of menstruation), there is no need to use additional contraceptive methods, as Evra works from the first day of use. If the patch is applied on the following days of the cycle (2-5 days), an additional method of protection should be used for the next 7 days. There is no need to use condoms during a bleeding break - hormonal contraception is designed in such a way that a woman is protected from unwanted pregnancy at all times. A prerequisite is that you follow the instructions in the package leaflet.
