Can Adaring be put on on another day of the cycle and the protection will come after 7 days?
I went to the gynaecologist due to amenorrhea, I was previously prescribed Adaring. The doctor said I could put it on to regulate my menstruation, but I wouldn't be protected from pregnancy for 3 weeks. Adaring contains the same substances as NuvaRing and I read on the internet that you can put it on a different day of the cycle and the protection will come after 7 days. Is that true?

If I take it out for intercourse or when I go to bathe and take out the NuvaRing contraceptive ring, where should I put it in the room, on the bed or on the chair? It must be at room temperature ? What if I put it in the bathroom and it was quite humid? I exercise a lot, so can I leave it in the locker before going to the gym?

Adaring is a hormonal drug that contains etonogestrel and ethinylestradiol, just like NuvaRing. If your doctor has recommended Adaring to regulate your menstrual cycle, it usually depends on your individual situation. However, changing the day of insertion of the disc may affect contraceptive protection.
It is best to put on adaring on the first day of your natural cycle (i.e. the first day of menstruation). You can also start using the Adaring system between day 2 and day 5 of your cycle. Then, in order to obtain full contraceptive protection, it is recommended to use additional contraceptive methods (e.g. condoms) for the first 7 days after insertion.
There are no contraindications to starting the Adaring system on any day of the cycle. However, it should be remembered that the contraceptive ring does not work immediately, so when taken later in the cycle, it may not have time to inhibit ovulation.
