Will I be protected 7 days after starting Belara contraception (on day 3 of my cycle)?

While I took the first Belara contraceptive pill, on the 3rd day of menstruation, for the first 7 days of use I should additionally protect myself mechanically, so after these 7 days there is nothing to be afraid of and there is no need to use additional protection?
