Does Levoxa accumulate in the body at a dosage of 2x500 mg?
The doctor prescribed me a dose of Levox 500 x2 per day. I'm going to listen to the doctor, but I'm bothered by the fact that I've read that there is an accumulation of the drug. However, everywhere I find information that Levoxa stays in the body for 6-8 hours. Please advise me if it is really possible for this drug to accumulate at a dose of 2x500mg?

Levofloxacin (the active ingredient in Levoxa) stays in the body for up to 40 hours after administration. After about 48 hours of using the drug in the 500 mg dosing regimen twice a day, a state of equilibrium is established, i.e. the ratio of drug concentrations in tissue and blood is constant, which is the desired effect for the therapy to be effective.
