No, eating meals with pumpkin does not affect the effect of birth control pills.

In case of any doubts, I encourage you to use the teleadvice with a gynecologist available in the e-visit tab:

Up to @Hhhhg:

No, eating healthy cream soups such as pumpkin or tomato soup, even in large quantities, does not affect the effectiveness of hormonal contraception, such as an implant, vaginal ring, injection or hormonal coil. The ingredients in these soups, such as tomatoes, pumpkin and vegetables, do not affect the hormones in contraceptives.

As for St. John's wort, it is rather unlikely that it will be added to cream soups. It is more commonly used in herbal teas or dietary supplements. If you have any doubts, ask the restaurant staff.

And such pumpkin cream soup or tomato cream soup will strongly affect the effectiveness of contraception?
I love eating such healthy cream soups, where there are a lot of healthy products and, for example, a lot of tomatoes and purees I eat a lot of this soup at once Does it affect the effectiveness of contraception? I mean the contraceptive implant ? And a contraceptive ring? Or a contraceptive injection? Or a spiral? Can such soups have the addition of St. John's wort in a restaurant?
