If I switch from Vibin to Levomine, which have less hormones, will the protection be maintained?

Hello. So far I have been taking vibin tablets (about 2 years), but due to the price I asked the doctor to change to another. I have now received Levomine, but I see that their composition is different. Will the effectiveness of contraception be maintained or can levomine be too weak for me? And after 7 days of placebo pills do I just start new pills? Then the action will not be interrupted or is it better to additionally protect yourself?

These drugs differ in composition, but you should not be afraid that after changing from Vibin to Levomine, the drug will not work properly. These drugs have similar mechanisms of action and their purpose is to prevent pregnancy. Therefore, this change will not make Levomine too weak. After a 7-day break after the end of the Vibin blister, you should switch to Levomine, then the protection will be preserved. Here you can check availability for Levomine in pharmacies and make a reservation: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/43336/levomine-tabletki-powlekane/apteki
