What should I do if I missed the first Orlifique tablet?
Hello. If I skipped the first ornifique tablet from the new pack and took it together with the second tablet, am I protected against pregnancy or do I have to protect myself additionally?

Protection is not maintained. The leaflet of the drug precisely informs about it as follows: If "one tablet is missed on day 1-7 (first row), then you should take the missed tablet as soon as possible after remembering to miss a dose, even if it means taking two tablets at the same time. Take the next pills at the usual time and use additional contraceptive methods, such as a condom, for a further 7 days. If you have had sexual intercourse in the week before you missed the tablet, you are at risk of pregnancy. In this case, contact your doctor." You should therefore apply additional protection for at least a week. However, if you have had sex in the last days - the leaflet says about the week before skipping - it is advisable to additionally contact a gynecologist.
