Is 7 grams of propranolol a high dose?

My friend took 7 grams of propranol, I lost contact with her as soon as the ambulance arrived. The only thing I know is that this drug is called propranolol and she took about 7g of this drug from the time of taking the drug to arrival passed about 1.5 hours. She called all the hospitals and I still don't know anything... terribly afraid of her I read that these are drugs for the heart ... Will she survive it? Is it a high dose? She was perfectly healthy

Propranolol acts primarily on the cardiovascular system, but not only. It is used, among others, in heart disease, hypertension, migraine, some types of arrhythmia. Symptoms of overdose include very slow heart rate, a marked decrease in blood pressure, heart failure and difficulty breathing. According to the documentation of the drug, the toxicity is individually diverse. In an adult treated with this preparation, the total maximum daily dose - but only in selected diseases - is 320 mg (eg 2 times 160 mg). However, smaller amounts are generally assumed. 320 milligrams equals 0.32 grams. The dose of 7 grams, or 7,000 mg - if indeed taken - is therefore very large. I can present such information from a pharmaceutical point of view, but about the patient's health and prognosis, you should talk to medical staff who have all the information about her current situation. Please note that obtaining such information is subject to legal restrictions and not everyone can find out about the health of a hospitalized person.
