Why are there no diagnostic tests for gonorrhea?
Has gonorrhea disappeared from the world, that you can not buy a home test anywhere, and laboratories do not do smear tests? Do you know anything about the reasons for the lack of availability or the date of return to the shelves?

Today I contacted the manufacturer of the S1 Test for gonorrhea - unfortunately, due to problems at the production level, deliveries of this test to pharmacies are not expected this year. It is not known when and if the production of the test will start.
Laboratory tests should be used.
Do you know anything about accessibility? Pharmacies are still out of stock

Currently, the test is not available in pharmacies. I have information from Polish wholesalers that the situation is related to the restriction of access to tests from Chinese factories. There are theories that these factories have switched production to COVID-19 tests and other tests, e.g. S1 for gonorrhea, are not produced.
