Hepatitis A (so-called jaundice) is an acute disease with a particularly severe course in adults. Infection can occur as a result of non-compliance with hygiene rules, consumption of infected food or water and during sexual contact. The most effective way to protect against getting sick is vaccination, which further reduces the risk of dangerous complications.
