Should the child stop taking Nootropil if there is excessive sleepiness after the afternoon tablet?
Good morning The daughter (16 years) is prescribed by a neurologist Nootropil 800 at a dose of 2 x1 tabl. After taking the afternoon pill it gets very sleepy. Is this a side effect of the drug? Should it be discontinued, or does the body have to get used to it?

Excessive sleepiness has been described as an "uncommon" side effect of Nootropil. If this symptom occurs, it may not resolve with the duration of treatment. Because it is a prescription drug, you should not stop it yourself. Observed side effects should be presented to the doctor, it may be necessary to change the dosage of the drug.
