What are the current guidelines for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori?

Good morning, is Amotaks enough to treat Helicobacter pylori infection? I only got this drug and in various sources I read that the treatment should be combined. Is it possible to cure this infection with this antibiotic alone? Please reply. Best regards.

In the eradication of Helicobater pylori, combination therapy with several drugs is used. According to the current guidelines for the eradication of Helicobater pylori (Maastricht V/Florence), the first choice treatment should be quadruple therapy with bismuth consisting of a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), bismuth, metronidazole and tetracycline, characterized by a very good, over 90% efficacy. If bismuth therapy cannot be used, bismuth-free therapy (PPIs + amoxicillin + metronidazole + clarithromycin) is an alternative. If in doubt, it is worth seeking medical advice again. You can also take advantage of on-line advice with an internist: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja/z-internista We wrote more about H. pylori eradication in the text: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/kategorie/leki-na-helicobacter-pylori
