Can I change the dosage of Mysimba myself?
My doctor has now prescribed Mysimba (standard doses according to the leaflet). Can I only take one tablet in the morning if this dose works? I'm afraid of side effects at higher doses, and I'm prone to headaches. What happens if I take one tablet every other day?

If I run out of Mysimba tablets and I will have more after the weekend, is it better to stop taking it for 2.5 days or reduce the dose and take 1 tablet in the morning and in the evening? Thank you.

From a pharmacological point of view, it is safe - this is the smallest effective dose. However, each dose modification is decided by the doctor, not the pharmacist.
What if I use the drug every 2 days? Is this acceptable if there are visible effects?

Mysimba is a prescription medicine and the dose adjustment should be decided by your doctor. The dosage of Mysimba starts with the adaptation period of the body, which is usually 4 weeks. During this time, the dose of the preparation is increased from week to week. If you take too low a dose, the medicine may not work and the therapy will not work. The dose reached in the fourth week of treatment is the maximum daily dose. If you find that the effective dose is lower in your case, your doctor should accept the new dosing regime. If side effects occur, report them to your doctor or individually. It allows you to gather more information about the safety of medicines and update data about them, which can help other patients in the future.
