Good morning. I was given asentra 100 by my doctor. I have been taking it for a week, it feels very good after it, but there is one very troublesome side effect, namely excessive sweating. To such an extent that I have all my wet hair and it just pours out of me. Is there a chance that this will pass? How can you somehow alleviate this nasty symptom.

Side effects such as excessive sweating usually occur at the beginning of treatment with Asentra. At the beginning, i.e. 2-4 weeks, then they disappear in most patients. Unfortunately, there is no guarantee when exactly and if you will pass this symptom at all. Please be patient. Perhaps gradually increasing the dose would alleviate the symptoms somewhat. Did the doctor recommend using the drug at a dose of 100 mg right away? In pharmacies there are also smaller doses and then gradually, e.g. for the first 1-2 weeks, we use a lower dose, and then successively increase up to the target 100 mg. If the problem is very troublesome for you, please consult a doctor. Do not modify the treatment on your own and do not discontinue the drug.
