Can I make two injections of 18 mcg from one REKOVELLE 36 mcg pen?
In a few days I will start stimulation for IVF m.in the drug rekovelle. The dose I have to inject is 18 mcg. I purchased a pack of rekovelle 36 mcg. I understand that the recommended dose of 18 mcg is simply half of what I have and one injection in pen should be enough for 2 injections.

REKOVELLE is a solution placed in a reusable pen, i.e. from one pen several doses are obtained individually selected for the patient. In your case, one pen will be used to make two injections, i.e. it contains two doses. The pen allows you to set the dose from 0.33 mcg to 20 mcg of the drug. The dose is determined by turning the knob clockwise until the desired value is obtained. If the adjustment is incorrect, the dose can be adjusted in any direction without risk of loss of the medicinal product. Before first use, prepare the pen properly, taking special care to vent the vial (drain any air that may be in it) so that the dose you set is correct. The manufacturer recommends that the first administration of the drug should take place under the supervision of medical personnel, and only later - after the patient's training - should be performed individually. Therefore, if you have any concerns, please contact your doctor. If you will be administering the medicine alone at home, please read the leaflet very carefully and perform all the steps described there. The leaflet is very precise, step by step describes how to prepare and perform the injection, including pictures.
