It is believed that non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, which include diclofenac (the active ingredient in Olfen), may cause fluid retention and swelling, an increase in blood pressure in some patients, and may also reduce the effectiveness of antihypertensive drugs already in use (Lisinoratio and Amlopin). If you have observed an increase in blood pressure while using a combination of all medicines, you should contact your doctor (e.g. family doctor) who will help you assess whether it may actually be related to the medicine you are using. Basic studies will help to preliminarily exclude other causes. You will also be able to seek advice on how to continue taking this medicine.
