Can I use these preparations together?

Good morning. I repeat the question and ask for advice. Although I take Dexilant 60mg every morning, can I take Alugastrin or Ranigast if I have heartburn? Thank you!

To @Paulina:

If proton pump inhibitors cause migraine attacks with aura, you may want to consider alternative medications for heartburn and reflux. Antacids, such as Gaviscon, can provide quick relief, while H2 receptor antagonists, such as Ranigast, Famotidine, can be an effective alternative, as they are less likely to cause side effects.

Additionally, prokinetic drugs like Prokit can help to speed up gastric emptying. It is also recommended that you consult your doctor to discuss appropriate treatment options and possible changes in migraine treatment.

Hello, I have a question about heartburn medication. Well, I suffer from this ailment, I also have acid reflux disease and irritable bowel syndrome (which is probably due to one of the other). In addition, I have a migraine with aura. And it is the use of any proton pump inhibitors that ends up with either its attack or at least an aura attack. So do drugs such as Ranigast or Alugastrin work on different principles and can I use them? If not, what heartburn/reflux medications will be right for me?

Yes, you can. Both Alugastrin and Ranigast are rescue preparations containing different active substances than the one contained in Dexilant. However, please remember not to take all the preparations at once, but to keep at least 1-2 hours between their use.
