Is it possible to use Sumamed 2 times a day for 5 days?
Good morning, I need advice. I was assigned the antibiotic sumamed 500, 1 x 1 every 12 hours. On the prescription I was written 3 packages, a total of 9 tablets. Is this a doctor's mistake or can the medicine be taken twice a day for almost 5 days? My doubts stem from the fact that there is no such administration protocol in the leaflet, in any of the diseases mentioned. I tried to contact my doctor to consult my concerns, but I couldn't. I would add that I am an adult.

Unfortunately, I can not find either in the SmPC of the drug or in the recommendations of such a dosage of this antibiotic, however, the doctor may prescribe any dosage, other than in the leaflet of the drug, based on his knowledge and the latest research (so-called "off-label" treatment).
