Good morning. I have a question From 28.11.2022 I take the drug forxiga 10mg. I am 15 years after a kidney transplant,is it possible that this drug raised my urea and creatinine levels.

To @Karolina: Yes, they will disappear after discontinuation of the drug. However, they can persist for up to several weeks after the end of therapy.

Yes, it is possible that Forxiga has affected the results of laboratory tests for creatinine and urea. Side effects such as increased levels of urea and creatinine (mainly at the start of treatment) have been reported uncommonly, affecting up to 1 in 100 people taking Forxiga. In one study in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and moderate renal impairment, more patients treated with dapagliflozin (the active substance Forxigi) had an adverse reaction such as increased creatinine.
