For 2.5 weeks I have been taking baclofen and amitriptylinum medications, which were prescribed for my headaches. 4 days ago I started taking Sobycor prescribed by a cardiologist. Is it possible to combine these drugs with each other? I read in the amitriptyline leaflet that it should not be used with beta blockers. And now I do not know whether to discontinue amitriptyline? I don't see a neurologist until 19.12 and I don't know if I'm taking these medications by then.

A betablocker (eg Sobycor) may weaken the effect of Amitriptyline, by significantly reducing its metabolism and markedly increasing the concentration of the drug in plasma. However, this does not mean that you can not use these drugs in parallel in therapy. However, this requires the need to change the dosage recommendations for Amitriptyline. If you are unable to access your primary care doctor, the gdziepolek.pl service also allows you to obtain a teleconsultation with a doctor: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja Please also check your blood pressure regularly. If you feel that the effect of Amitriptyline is too weak and insufficient, or if you experience weakness, dizziness, cardiovascular discomfort, fainting or other disturbing symptoms - please contact your doctor. I encourage you to inform your doctor about all medicines and dietary supplements used, which will allow you to choose a safe and effective pharmacotherapy: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/czy-mozna-laczyc-leki-ze-soba
