The single dose of ephedrine and the daily dose will not be exceeded and this dosage is safe. A child aged 7 years can take up to 0.014 g of ephedrine in a single dose and 0.04 g in a daily dose. Converting the values according to body weight, I obtained the result - 0.016 g once and 0.05 g per day. In the case of your child, the doctor recommended 0.008 g once and 0.016 g ephedrine per day - therefore, the dose will not be exceeded.
