The concomitant use of Tecfidera and Nimesil is not strictly contraindicated. However, the use of nimesulide contained in Nimesil concomitantly with Tecfidera may potentiate nephrotoxic (kidney-damaging effects), which may manifest m.in proteinuria. Therefore, in the described situation, Nimesil should be used in the lowest effective doses possible, for the shortest possible time. At the same time, it is necessary to ensure proper fluid supply (about 2500 ml of fluids per day), because dehydration promotes kidney damage. Patients with renal impairment who are prescribed concomitant use of both medicines should remain under the close supervision of a nephrologist.
