When the use of a dose of Pentasa is associated not only with diarrhea, but at the same time there are symptoms such as cramping abdominal pain, acute abdominal pain, fever, severe headache or rash, this directly indicates intolerance to the drug and is an undisputed basis for discontinuation of the drug. For my part, I will point out that in the treatment of intestinal diseases it is worth remembering about the possibility of using preparations containing sodium butyrate. It is a regenerating substance, nourishing intestinal cells, as well as showing anti-inflammatory effects.
