Does Depakine Chrono have more side effects than Levetiracetam?
Good morning, is the epilepsy drug, depakine chrome, an older generation drug with greater side effects than levetiracetam? Thank you in advance for your reply.

Both Levetiracetam and Depakine Chrono are among the first-line drugs for antiepileptic treatment. Levetiracetam is considered an alternative treatment with e.g. valproic acid and sodium valproate (Depakine Chrono) due to similar treatment effectiveness, fewer side effects and fewer possible drug interactions.
