Duomox is not a typical antibiotic dedicated to the treatment of scarlet fever caused by streptococcus (Streptococcus pyogenes). According to the Duomox Summary of Product Characteristics: Some strains of Streptococcus pyogenes are resistant to tetracyclines. Therefore, tetracyclines should not be used in streptococcal infections without prior confirmation of susceptibility.
