The active substance of the drug is clotrimazole, belonging to the derivatives of imidazole, responsible for eliminating most fungi that cause infections in humans. Clotrimazolum is therefore used to treat fungal infections of the skin, such as ringworm of the feet or candidiasis of the mucous membrane of the external genital organs.
