With a contraceptive injection, you can eat and drink everything normally. Alcohol can also be consumed. Injections are a convenient form of contraception because, for example, foods rich in fiber or coating substances (e.g. with flaxseed) do not affect their effectiveness, as is the case if you took pills. The same applies to vomiting or diarrhea - here they also do not affect the effect of the injection. The injection also does not interact with parallel medications. Medroxyprogesterone acetate (a substance contained in the injection) administered parenterally to women in the recommended dosage, inhibits the secretion of gonadotropins, which prevents the maturation of Graafian vesicles and ovulation, and also leads to a decrease in the thickness of the endometrium mucosa and causes an increase in the density of cervical mucus, which prevents sperm from entering the uterus - all this is aimed at preventing pregnancy. The drug given in a timely manner (that is, constantly at intervals of 3 months) will cause all these changes in the body and will effectively prevent pregnancy. Regardless of what you will eat or drink during this time and whether you will experience diarrhea or vomiting. I have a question, can I use such a contraceptive injection with higher DHEA-S? Will it be reduced by such a disease, for example?

To @Anna: Yes, you can consume alcohol during a course of contraceptive injections.

And alcohol can be drunk as you have a contraceptive injection?

What if someone put me a drug to drink and then I had sex? Will the contraceptive injection not work then?

And what if someone put Mephedrone in my drink and I drank it and then had intercourse, can the contraceptive injection not work?
