Good morning My matula has had an ulcer on her leg for over a year. At first, he was treated with antibiotics, but because the inflammation resumed, we were looking for an alternative method. It turned out to be a new generation of patches under the name: Dressing with silver ions Convatec Aquacel Ag+ Extra. However, although the inflammation seems to have decreased, it seems to be a small swelling and a second ulcer appeared. Experts somehow propose Dermatol but please advise or for sure. greetings RWolfram

The basic method of treating this type of lesions on the skin are oral antibiotics (perhaps in the case of your mother it will be necessary to resume antibiotic therapy - after consulting a doctor, preferably a surgeon). Until the visit to the doctor, you can use, for example, the aforementioned Dermatol powder, which can be purchased without a prescription in a pharmacy or with home delivery: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/22194/dermatol-aflofarm-substancja/apteki or patches, with anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects with silver ions, for oozing wounds, e.g. https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/88957/mepilex-border-ag-opatrunek/apteki https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/75722/suprasorb-aag-opatrunek/apteki In addition, it is worth taking care of proper disinfection of the wound using antiseptics, e.g. https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/106951/granusept-plyn-do-przemywania-ran-plyn/apteki https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/87829/octenisept-aerozol-aerozol/apteki and take care of airing the wound. When the wound closes (it will no longer be oozing), you can wash the place with water or water with gray soap. After washing, the place must be dried.
