This year, some attentin reportedly had to enter into circulation the same substance with a slight difference and duration of action produced by the same company that produces medikinet or is there anything known about this drug?

At the moment, Tentin 5 mg is available, and a dose of 10 mg is expected to be available in pharmacies next week. There are currently no plans to supply doses higher than 10 mg.

Here you can find up-to-date information about the availability of the medicine:

To @Bart:

The drug "Tentin" is not currently on the List of Medicinal Products, so it has not been approved for marketing.

Bart (Anonymous, 83.238.161.) 7 months ago

Tentin was approved in Poland in September. Do you know when it will be available in pharmacies?

To @Mickey:

Yes, Elvanse (Lisdexamfetamine dimesilate) can be imported as a targeted import on the basis of a prescription issued by a doctor.

If Elvanse does not work, other options for ADHD may be considered, such as:
Atomoxetine - an alternative drug to stimulants, also reimbursed, e.g. https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/98993/auroxetyn-kapsulki/apteki

Dextroamphetamine - a drug from the amphetamine group, available in some countries, but not registered in Poland.

Mickey (Anonymous, 213.216.120.) 9 months ago

Can this drug be imported as part of targeted import? Or how else to get this drug attentin? Will I get such a medicine in Germany? Of course, there are indications, methylphenidate therapy is not effective. The doctor has currently prescribed me Elvanse and I am waiting for the targeted import to be completed, but if he does not help, how can I try drug therapy with dextroamphetamine?

According to the data contained in the Register of Medicinal Products, Attentin is still not registered.

Attentin, is it already known when this drug will be available in Poland and in what doses?

Emilia (Anonymous, 83.6.100.) 13 months ago

Good morning
Is there any new information on the marketing authorisation of dextroamphetamine in Poland?

Hi, I received unconfirmed information from a doctor that in June this year is to enter the Polish drug with amphetamine - Attentin. However, I can't find any information about it, or is there something known? Will it be available "normally" or via target import?

Attentin does not have a valid approval in Poland.
Its safety is currently being discussed. According to the European Medicines Agency:

"It has been recognised that the use of this medicine is associated with a risk of illicit use and abuse. Therefore, in order to minimise this risk, the applicant proposed to limit the use of dexamfetamine as a second-line treatment for ADHD in children and adolescents aged 6 to 17 years when other medical and non-medical treatment options do not deliver the expected result. In addition, the MAH has proposed a drug utilisation study (DUS) to follow up on reports of abuse and/or overdose as well as a non-interventional post-drug safety study. a non-interventional post authorisation safety study (PASS) to control major adverse events. In addition, educational materials will be made available for physicians and patients, including checklists, in line with educational materials for other ADHD medications."

Research is still underway. If approved, the drug will most likely be indicated as a second-line treatment for ADHD – that is, only when other standard therapies are not effective enough. Therefore, Attentin should not be seen as a substitute for Medikinet.

Attentin has dextroamphetamine, a completely different substance than the one in Mediknet.

At the moment, a drug with such a name is not registered and available in Poland. I will contact the manufacturer of Medikinet. As soon as I have any information, it will be posted under this post.
