Should I take a PPI or Emanera as a cover while taking Ketonal Duo if I feel pain and burning in the stomach area?

Hello, should I use a PPI or Emanera as a cover when using Ketonal Duo 1x1? While using this drug, my stomach hurts and burns in the stomach area, I am prescribed this drug after an ankle injury (2 months after) because my leg still hurts when walking and I am waiting for a check-up at the orthopedist .., the doctor prescribed me this drug because Nimesil did not help, but he was well tolerated.. thank you in advance and greet

Yes, if you experience gastrointestinal discomfort while taking Ketonal Duo, you should use a protective medicine such as PPI 20 mg, which is designed to prevent stomach and duodenal ulcers caused by the use of anti-inflammatory drugs. A protective drug, such as PPIs, should be taken once a day (unless otherwise advised by your doctor), one hour before a meal. The capsule should be swallowed whole and washed down with water. Ketonal Duo should always be taken with a meal, washed down with at least half a glass of water or milk. This is very important, the drug taken on an empty stomach can additionally provoke irritation of the mucosa.
