The peak flow meter has three zones marked in red, yellow and green.
The normal PEF (peak expiratory flow) value in a healthy person should be between 400 and 600 l/minute.
Individual indicators distinguish the following levels of PEF value determination:
- green - range of 80-100% of the maximum value of the marking, i.e. the marker at the level of approx. 480 l/minute
- yellow - range of 60-80% of the maximum value of the marking, i.e. the marker at the level of approx. 360 l/minute
- red - range below 60% of the maximum value of the marking. Here the marker can be set at the very bottom.
The above information has been taken from the available literature.
Please check the correct values on the user manual of your Picflowmeter. Usually, for specific devices, the correct values are given either on the packaging or in the user manual.
Medical equipment and medications should be kept out of sight and reach of children. This prevents, for example, possible mechanical damage.
