Yes, you can transport medicines for your own use by plane. All medicines used should always be taken with you on board the aircraft in hand luggage - they are not given to the luggage compartment, because there may be inappropriate conditions, e.g. inappropriate temperature. If you want to be sure that no one will question the need to transport the medicine, it is worth having a certificate from a doctor in English that the person is using the medicine.
