Is it enough to apply electrolytes to muscle pain after food poisoning?

Good morning. For several days I have been struggling with stomach problems caused by either poisoning or the zoladic flu. From the beginning of the symptoms, there were also specific pains in the arms. Now that the nausea and lack of appetite have passed, this pain still remains and sometimes it can be strongly felt and bothersome. Rather, it is so prickly and pulsating. Will electrolytes help or do you need to use something analgesic?

It is likely that the use of appropriate electrolytes will reduce muscle pain and will prove to be sufficient. First of all, I encourage you to properly hydrate the body. In the event that the hydration of the body will not reduce muscle pain, or the pain will increase, I encourage you to consult a doctor. Muscle aches can be one of the symptoms of dehydration of the body. Muscle pain results m.in from a decrease in skin elasticity and water loss in articular cartilage. Proper hydration of the body during food poisoning reduces the risk of dehydration symptoms. Electrolytes are oral rehydration fluids that replenish lost ingredients such as potassium, sodium during e.g. diarrhea, vomiting. It is recommended to use them from the first moments after the occurrence of situations that increase the risk of dehydration. Numerous irrigation preparations are available in online and stationary pharmacies. These include, for example: - Gastrolite (preparation registered as a medicine, containing chamomile extract): https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/32013/gastrolit-proszek-do-wytworzenia-plynu/apteki - Orsalit (with lemon-raspberry flavor): https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/57956/orsalit-dla-doroslych-o-smaku-malinowo-cytrynowym-proszek-do-wytworzenia-zawiesi/apteki - Litorsal (with lemon-mint flavor): https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/85164/zdrovit-litorsal-tabletki-musujace/apteki I encourage you to read additional materials that may be useful: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-zwalczyc-biegunke https://www.gdziepolek.pl/kategorie/zatrucia-pokarmowe
